Precious Things - An Archibald Story
Sometimes, when Archibald walks the streets, he stops in front of shop windows to look at beautiful, expensive things and often wishes he could buy them.
But when he thinks about it, Archibald tells himself that these objects, once you own them, end up locked away in drawers or cupboards.
On the contrary, he realizes that the nightingale teaching him to sing, the large apple tree offering him a snack, or the moon that stays lit all night to reassure him... these things are free, they do not belong to him, they are neither rare nor expensive, and yet, when Archibald thinks about them, he sees nothing more precious in the world.
